Atalanta hosts Venezia in a Serie A Matchday 7 fixture. The game takes place on Monday, October 12, at 17:30 UK Time in Bergamo.
Spain will host Turkey in a World Cup qualifier from Group E on Tuesday, November 18, with kickoff scheduled for 19:45 UK Time.
The Spanish side has been absolutely dominant in this group, winning all five of their matches with a combined goal difference of 19:0. One of those victories was a resounding 6:0 win away in Turkey back in September. Apart from penalty shootouts, Luis de la Fuente’s team has gone unbeaten in 25 consecutive games - an impressive run dating back to March 2024. Spain have also scored at least two goals in each of their last 12 fixtures. In their most recent home match, they crushed Bulgaria 4:0, while earlier in the qualifiers they secured a comfortable 2:0 win over Georgia at home.
Turkey, meanwhile, has already guaranteed a place in the playoffs as they try to reach their first World Cup since finishing third in 2002. The visitors have enjoyed a strong year overall, winning seven of their nine matches in 2025. However, their meeting with Spain in Konya exposed the difference in quality between the two sides, and it has been nearly six decades since Turkey last defeated the Spaniards. They come into this match on a three-game winning streak, scoring 12 goals during that run, but facing Spain away from home represents a significantly tougher challenge.
Spain enter this match on the back of two straight 4:0 victories over Georgia and Bulgaria, and a third win by a similarly emphatic margin would not be surprising. De la Fuente’s squad is clearly a level above every opponent in this qualifying group, and when they increase the intensity, they are capable of completely overwhelming any rival. I expect a convincing win for Spain on Tuesday, with at least a two-goal margin.
Prediction: Spain -1.5 Asian Handicap
