Six years later, Wolverhampton Wanderers will be back in the Championship after being relegated from the Premier League last season. The Midlands outfit are among the favourites for the top spot in the league and a return to the Premier League. They will be looking to start the season with a win over Blackburn, who finished 20th last season. Wolverhampton beat Port Vale convincingly 3-0 in a EFL Cup match a week ago, and before that they defeated La Liga newcomers Racing Santander 3-0 in the qualifiers.
Blackburn were among the weakest teams in the Championship last season and will struggle to make a step forward this season, given the team's transfers so far. The visitors have started the season positively after winning 2-1 against Burton Albion in the EFL Cup last week. Before that, they drew 1-1 with Huddersfield in the pre-season and beat Strasbourg 2-0. But official matches are a different challenge and I think Blackburn will have a tough 90 minutes at Molineux.

This quality, along with key players remaining at the club, such as Andre, Yerson Mosquera and Rodrigo Gomes, makes them a dangerous team that should prove too strong for Blackburn and win the match.
